Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) ensure multidisciplinary child abuse investigations are coordinated from a single child-friendly location. Michael’s House follows this model and offers ground-breaking solutions for improved investigations and treatment for children. The safety of every child and a coordinated response to their outcries is the core of the work at Michael’s House.

This includes:

• Prompt and consistent follow-up to reports of child abuse
• Reducing the number of times a child is interviewed
• Referring children for, and providing medical and mental health services
• Holding offenders accountable for their actions, whenever possible
• Providing consistent and compassionate support to children and families
