Child abuse is on the rise, not only nationally, but also locally in our own communities. Greene County Children Services reported 1,209 new investigations, which is a 4% increase in 2007. In this county alone, child abuse statistics have progressively increased annually and are likely to continue. With statistics like this, the unfortunate reality is that the need for Michael’s House will only grow.
